Better known as ‘newly added to the stash’, look what the postman brought me today!
These are four skeins of the lovely Shilasdair Luxury 4-ply. I’ve worked with their Luxury DK before and really liked knitting it as much as the resulting fabric: it’s lightweight but embraces also everything you love about wool, being insulating if you need it and not too hot if you are in heated spaces. Must be the put-up of 40% lambswool, 40% angora, 10% camel and 10% cashmere – luxurious indeed!
No, nobody paid me to say these things, this is purely my opinion. See if you can get your hands on some Shilasdair yarn and see for yourselves. Especially the DK with 300 meters/330 yards per skein is really affordable and worth a try.
On top of that, I also got myself two skeins of Quince&Co. Lark to knit the Oak Crest hat from the latest issue of Pom Pom and a cotton/linen-blend yarn for a design proposal. Of course that wasn’t the only yarn that landed on my doorstep lately but these are the ones I am most excited about.
Lots of things going on, not only knit-wise. Have you seen my new blog design yet? I’ve been unhappy with my last design for some time now but it was difficult to find a fitting theme. Plus, the time to customize it! It has been raining for most of today, so it was the ideal time to get this new blog design going. With that done, if anyone is looking for me, I’ll be on my sofa swatching new ideas!
